Lansdowne construction advisory:
Beginning May 8, 2017, the Lansdowne (Thousand Islands) port of entry will be closing Primary Inspection Lanes 6 and 7 in order to remove the booth in Lane 7 and a portion of the canopy. This measure is temporary for the construction of the new facility. One lane is expected to be returned to service in time for the May long weekend.
Effective June 17, 2017, service at the Lansdowne (Thousand Islands) port of entry will be transferred to the new building. Travellers and commercial vehicles are advised to slow down and observe traffic rerouting signage to make the transition safe.
Travellers and commercial vehicles may continue to experience occasional short delays during the completion of the construction of the new facility.
The designated NEXUS lane will be unavailable until mid-June.
The CBSA appreciates your patience and understanding while we complete the modernization of our facility to better serve commercial and public travellers starting summer 2017.
