Laval, Quebec
General Information
The Laval immigration holding centre (IHC) is located at 300 Montée Saint-François, Laval Quebec, approximately 30 kilometers from the Montréal-Trudeau International Airport. It has a capacity to house up to 153 detainees.
Services
The following services are provided to detainees within the facility:
- Three separate outdoor recreational areas: men's and women's yards as well as an area for families
- Dining areas with ample natural light where three meals are provided on a daily basis.
- A large common room within each living unit that provides an open environment for detainees to interact with each other and participate in activities outside of their rooms
- Safe and secure living units, including the introduction of a family living unit
- Access to computer games, games, television, books, magazines, telephones
- Exercise room
- Multi-faith room used for prayer
- Visitation room where detainees may visit with family and friends, in an open, dedicated area with direct contact between them
- Dedicated rooms for counsel and non-governmental organizations who request it, to meet privately with detainees
- Rooms for immigration-related hearings and participation via video conference
- Access to translation and legal services
- Access to onsite CBSA officers, upon request
- Medical services facilities, where nursing staff are on site 24 hours, and a doctor and psychologist provide regular service to detainees; a psychiatrist is on call as required
- Multi-purpose room for schooling children who are housed in the facility, accompanying a parent or legal guardian
- Flexible living unit with rooms that may be used in circumstances where a detainee may require one-on-one observation, may request it, or where placement in other living units is not in their best interests or those of other detainees

Visitation
At this time, visitations are only upon request.
All visitors are required to show proper identification to guards at reception and undergo a security screening process. Acceptable identification includes a single valid government-issued identification that includes name, photo, current address, date of birth and signature, or two identification documents with all required elements.

Surrey, British Columbia
General Information
The British Columbia IHC is located at 13130 76 Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia, approximately 30 kilometers from Vancouver International Airport and can accommodate up to 70 detainees.
This facility is a CBSA-owned facility, with third-party service contracts for provision of services within the facility. The two-story facility provides separate living units for men, women and families.

The following services are provided to detainees within the facility:
- Three outdoor recreational areas: one for men, one for women and a separate area for families with children
- A large service kitchen that prepares three meals and snacks daily for detainees on site
- A large common room within each living unit that provides an open environment for detainees to interact with each other and participate in activities outside of their rooms
- Access to games, satellite/cable television and telephones
- Multi-faith room
- Library
- Exercise room
- Visitation rooms, including a room where detainees may visit with family and friends, in an open, dedicated area with direct contact between them
- Dedicated room for non-governmental organizations and counsel who may meet privately with detainees
- Onsite CBSA offices, where detainees may speak to CBSA officers upon request

Visitation
Monday – Friday: 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm
Weekend/Stat Holidays: 10am-12pm and 3pm to 5pm.
All visitors are required to show proper identification to guards at reception. They undergo security screening (bags are scanned and a metal detector is used) and are asked to store personal effects in a designated locker. Acceptable identification includes a single valid government-issued identification that includes name, photo, current address, date of birth and signature, or two identification documents with all required elements.

General information
The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) IHC is located at 385 Rexdale Boulevard, Toronto, Ontario, approximately eight kilometers from Pearson International Airport and can accommodate up to 183 detainees.
This facility is operated under a third-party service contract with a vendor that provides the facility to the CBSA. Spread out among three stories, the facility provides separate living units for men, women and families.

The following services are provided to detainees within the facility:
- Two outdoor recreational areas: one that can be used at different times by men and women, and another for families, with child friendly equipment
- A large service kitchen that prepares three meals and snacks daily for detainees on site
- A large common area within each living unit that provides an open environment for detainees to interact with each other and participate in activities outside of their rooms
- Access to games, cable television and telephones
- Multi-faith room used for prayer
- Library
- Exercise room
- Visitation rooms, including a room where detainees may visit with family and friends, in an open, dedicated area with direct contact between them
- Dedicated room for non-governmental organizations and counsel who may meet privately with detainees
- Onsite Toronto Refugee Affairs Council (TRAC) office
