How to download files

To download files from a SIMA proceeding exhibit listing:

1. Log in to your ACE web application account
2. Navigate to the SIMA proceeding exhibit listing
3. Select the files for download, noting the download limits. The number of files and size of those combined files will be displayed to you where it indicates Click to download
4. Once all files are selected, click the download prompt
5. When prompted, you can save the files to a location on your desktop. If you request multiple files, they will be downloaded as part of a zip file displaying the proceeding identifier as the electronic name. All files selected should be contained in the zip file
6. When your download is complete, you may continue to select files. Please keep note of the files you have downloaded as the system will not display a list of previously downloaded files

When you have finished downloading your files, click the Sign out button to securely end your user session.

Session time restrictions

File downloads follow the same session time restrictions as the upload process. The total session duration is limited to 60 minutes. For more details, refer to Session time restrictions for uploads.

File download limits

It is recommended that users limit downloads to 2 GB at a time. When selecting multiple exhibits for download, the selected exhibits (files) will be automatically packaged into a zip file that contains up to 2 GB. Users who request to download files exceeding 2 GB in total size, will be prompted to download multiple zip file packages. Each zip file will have one or more selected individual exhibits, depending on the file size of the exhibits selected.

Larger downloads will take longer to complete. To speed up this process, we suggest you download smaller packages.

Users trying to download individual exhibits that exceed 2 GB in total size will be prompted to contact the CBSA's SIMA Registry and Disclosure Unit to get a copy.
