Get a CBSA-issued carrier code
How to enrol
You must enrol for a bonded or non-bonded carrier code through the CARM Client Portal.
If you have a pre-existing carrier code, upon registration, you will be prompted to confirm that you have a program account (a carrier code).
Register your business
Important You must be registered in the CARM Client Portal to enrol for a new carrier code.
To register your business in the portal, you need a statement of account or daily notice, a business number (BN 9) and an RM account.
Resident businesses can get a BN9 and RM account while registering in the portal.
Non-resident businesses must apply for their BN9 before registering in the portal.
