UDS 2022 UP6: Upholstered domestic furniture
Notice of termination of normal value review
Ottawa,
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has today terminated a normal value review (review) to update all normal values and export prices applicable to certain upholstered domestic furniture (UDS) exported from China by Henglin Home Furnishings Co., Ltd. (Henglin).
The review was initiated following a request for re-determination filed by an importer and is part of the CBSA’s enforcement of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s (CITT) order issued on September 2, 2021, respecting the dumping and subsidizing of UDS from China and Vietnam in accordance with the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA).
On June 9, 2022, the importer filed an application with the CBSA to withdraw its request for re-determination. On June 10, 2022, the CBSA notified the importer that its request for re-determination had been withdrawn.
On June 14, 2022, Henglin filed a letter with the CBSA requesting that the review be terminated. The importer is in support of the termination of this review.
In light of these requests and other considerations, the CBSA terminated the review.
