Notice of conclusion of anti-circumvention investigation: Container Chassis (CC 2024 AC)

Ottawa,

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an investigation on November 25, 2024, under the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), respecting the alleged circumvention from Vietnam of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s (CITT) finding issued on February 18, 2022 in Inquiry No. NQ-2021-005, respecting the dumping and subsidizing of container chassis from China.

The product definition and the applicable tariff classification numbers of the goods subject to the CITT’s finding can be found on the CBSA’s Container chassis: Measures in force.

The investigation has now concluded and today, pursuant to subsection 75.1(1) of SIMA, the CBSA has determined that imports of container chassis from Vietnam are not circumventing the CITT’s finding.

Additional information about the investigation will be available in a Statement of Reasons that will be available on the CBSA’s Anti-circumvention investigations.
