Your participation in this program is voluntary. The information you provide will be used to determine your eligibility. If you are accepted into the program, your membership will be valid for 5 years.
Apply for CANPASS
- Complete and sign the CANPASS application form: Form E672.
- CANPASS Corporate Aircraft applicants must also complete and sign the CANPASS Corporate Aircraft form: Form E679.
- Send the following to a Canadian processing centre:
- the completed application form(s)
- the non-refundable processing fee of CAN$40 for each applicant 18 years of age or older
- a photocopy of your proof of citizenship or permanent resident status
How long it will take to process your application
Complete applications and payments may be processed within 4 to 6 weeks. Estimated processing times do not include time required for postal delivery.
We will not process applications if:
- they are incomplete
- you do not include all the necessary documents
- you do not include the non-refundable processing fee
If applicable, the CBSA will send you a letter asking you to submit the missing information.

Payment options
To become a member of the CANPASS program, each applicant aged 18 years and older must submit a non-refundable processing fee of CAN$40. The fee is waived for those under the age of 18.
You can pay using Visa, MasterCard or American Express. You can also send a certified cheque or money order in Canadian funds payable to the Receiver General for Canada. Do not send cash.
CANPASS Corporate Aircraft members will be charged CAN$25 per individual each time a temporary authorization is issued. This fee applies regardless of the airport of entry or whether a border services officer is present when the aircraft arrives. Payment can be made as outlined above.
