The CANPASS Corporate Aircraft Program is available to members that frequently use corporate aircraft (rented, leased or owned) for business travel. The program is not available to members using chartered aircraft. Children under the age of 18 are not eligible.
The CANPASS Private Aircraft Program is available to members travelling on or operating private aircraft. Everyone on the aircraft must be a CANPASS member, including the pilot and any family members. Members must be 18 years of age or older, or have written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
All program applicants must:
- be citizens or permanent residents of Canada or the United States
- be admissible to Canada under applicable immigration laws
- provide true and accurate information on their application
- not be convicted of a criminal offence for which a pardon or rehabilitation has not been granted
- not have had a customs seizure within the past 6 years
- not be in violation of any customs or immigration legislation
Note: If you are a permanent resident, you must have been a legal resident of Canada or the U.S. for at least 3 years before applying.
Additional eligibility considerations for the CANPASS Corporate Aircraft Program
Family businesses can also apply to the program. To be eligible, the business must be incorporated.
Non-members may apply for temporary authorization if they can:
- demonstrate a work-based relationship with your corporation
- meet the same citizenship and residency criteria as program members
