Decorative and other non‑structural plywood - DONP 2020 IN
Notice of extension of investigations
Ottawa, September 2, 2020
The Canada Border Services Agency has today extended the preliminary phase of the investigations into the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of certain decorative and other non-structural plywood from China.
The Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) provides that, under normal circumstances, the preliminary stage of the investigations shall be completed within 90 days of the date of initiation. However, due to the complexity and novelty of the issues presented by the investigations, the period has been extended to 135 days, pursuant to subsection 39(1) of SIMA.
Consequently, the decision to issue preliminary determinations or to terminate the investigations with respect to some or all of the goods will be made on or before October 23, 2020.
