Notice of Preliminary Determinations

On June 22, 2016, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), pursuant to subsection 38(1) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), made preliminary determinations of dumping with respect to certain welded large diameter carbon and alloy steel line pipe (large line pipe) originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China (China) and Japan, and subsidizing of large line pipe from China.

The goods in question are usually classified under the following Harmonized System (HS) classification numbers:

Provisional duties will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after June 22, 2016.
