Tracking CARM software and industry readiness

Prior to , the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is making significant progress to ensure that there are software system options available to help trade chain partners (TCPs) prepare and submit their Commercial Accounting Declarations (CAD) via either the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or Application Programming Interface (API) channels.

There are 30 defined test scenarios that a software package can be tested against.

In order for a software to be deemed ready, it must be tested successfully against the scenarios the TCP has identified as applicable to their service offerings.

There are 28 unique software package providers in scope with 33 TCP participants. Together this represents 99.69% of CBSA’s transaction volumes.
