SIMA – Preliminary Determination Respecting Certain Carbon Steel Plate and High Strength Low Alloy Steel Plate Originating in or Exported from Ukraine

On October 5, 2009, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a preliminary determination of dumping pursuant to subsection 38(1) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) in respect of certain carbon steel plate and high strength low alloy steel plate originating in or exported from Ukraine.

The goods in question are commonly classified under the following Harmonized System classification numbers:

Provisional duties will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from the CBSA on or after October 5, 2009.
