On June 20, 2007, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, pursuant to subsection 76.03(3) of the Special Import Measures Act, initiated an expiry review of its finding made on March 4, 2003, in Inquiry No. NQ-2002-003, concerning certain xanthates originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China.
As a result, the President of the Canada Border Services Agency initiated an investigation on June 21, 2007, to determine whether the expiry of the finding is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the goods.
