H1N1 Virus (Human Swine Influenza)

Cases of the H1N1 virus (Human Swine Influenza) have been reported in Canada and in several other countries. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is working closely with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and is providing the PHAC with any assistance it may require.

What to expect at the border

Border services officers work closely with quarantine officers, who are employed by the PHAC. Border services officers refer anyone showing symptoms of illness to a quarantine officer.
