Moreno Gallo, closely associated with Montréal organized crime, is removed from Canada

Montréal, Quebec, January 5, 2012 – The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today confirmed the deportation of Moreno Gallo, a 66-year-old man associated with Montréal organized crime. Moreno Gallo was removed on January 4.

Mr. Gallo had been found guilty of many offences, including a premeditated murder and an active involvement in organized crime.

The removal of inadmissible individuals from Canada protects the safety and security of Canadians, while maintaining the integrity of Canada’s immigration program, and providing fairness for those who come to this country lawfully.
