Over $300,000 of cocaine seized at Pearson International Airport

Mississauga, Ontario, April 29, 2005 - The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today that its officers at Pearson International Airport seized more than two kilograms of cocaine worth over $300,000.

On April 24, 2005, a 22-year-old female was arrested after CBSA officers discovered over two kilograms of cocaine diluted in rum bottles and hidden within her luggage. The Bolton, Ontario resident was returning from St-Lucia.

The young woman was charged with importing a controlled substance and turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
