Canada Border Services Agency, Baseline Survey
The purpose of this study was to determine the public's awareness of and attitudes towards the Agency, its role and priorities, and to identify gaps that should be addressed. The research was conducted in 2007 and consisted of two phases. The first phase was a telephone survey of 3,025 Canadians aged 18 and over. The second phase comprised a series of 12 focus groups in 6 cities across the country.
WHTI Creative Advertising Pretest
Four focus groups were established to test print and radio advertisements and an Internet site aimed at informing Canadians of the document requirements when travelling to the United States by land or sea.
Qualitative Research on NEXUS Advertising and Promotional Products
The purpose of this qualitative research was to obtain feedback on potential NEXUS advertising concepts and new NEXUS promotional products. Four focus groups were held. These groups consisted of adult frequent travellers who had been to the United States by air or highway at least eight times in the past year.
Research on Alternative Documentation for Land and Sea Travel
This research served to identify Canadians' interest in alternative travel documents that might be valid under the U.S. WHTI. It comprised four focus groups to explore different concepts and help develop the questionnaire that was used for a telephone survey of 904 Canadians.
Qualitative research on NEXUS programs
This research comprised a set of 12 focus groups to explore perceptions of the NEXUS Highway and NEXUS Air programs among Canadian residents who travel frequently to the United States. Focus groups were held in five locations in Canada.
Survey of NEXUS Air Pilot Members
This telephone survey of 450 members was conducted in support of the CBSA's formative evaluation of the NEXUS Air pilot project. The objective of the survey was to learn about NEXUS Air members' views and experiences concerning the project.
